Hendy Used Fareham

I'd endorse Hendy Used Fareham because Brian was very helpful in my search for a new car.

Defects with car including battery unserviceable. Sold to me with an oustanding safety recall which could set fire to the engine. Drivers door defective and still waiting for a repair 2 months later. Arrogant after sales person

the service i got was very relaxing and owen sibley deserves a mention showing great knoledge and patience

I would not recommend Hendy Used Fareham because they allowed a car to be taken on a test drive in a dangerous state. My first test drive was fine, with a noted clutch issue that was being replaced before sale. But my test drive before handover was a nightmare! I found the car driving with inconsistent power nearly immediately, and as the test drive went on it just got worse. As all the electrics and power steering had glitches intermittently, this resulted in multiple occasions where the car was extremely difficult to control. This was rectified quickly that day, and a later test drive was fine, but as a main dealer it is unacceptable. This was also after apparently passing MOT, 90point check and service, and the replacement clutch! If any engineer had test driven the car they would have felt something wrong. The salesman was helpful and apologetic, but when asked for a copy of the 90point check he said it is not provided. I have also since researched the fault symptoms, and it appears to be caused by an electical grounding fault. Which on a 8yr old car could stress already old components. I would have liked some openness about the fault, and also expected some details as to replacement parts fitted or likely future part replacements this might cause. E.g. new battery as this would've stress the existing one severely.

Hendy Used Fareham were great because Tim was a great person to work with, there’s still a issue with the key and the car and i’m waiting for them to get back to me but apart from that they are really great and have been a kind and caring team!
